All 2009-2010 Research Initiatives and Scholarship
- The Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) conducted a comprehensive study of the international relations of the Gulf region and brought together a number of distinguished scholars to work on an edited volume entitled The International Relations of the Gulf to be published in 2011 by Syracuse University Press.
- As a result of the April 2008 conference Innovation in Islam, an edited volume of the chapters will be in 2011 by University of California Press.
- As part of the ongoing Migrant Labor in the Gulf research initiative, CIRS awarded a number of Research Grants to scholars interested in the field.
- Along with its Occasional Paper series, CIRS publishes online Briefs of its lectures and newsletters highlighting all its activities.
- CIRS welcomes its 2009-2010 Post Doctoral Fellow Attiya Ahmad.
