All 2009-2010 Research Initiatives and Scholarship

The Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) conducted a comprehensive study of the international relations of the Gulf region and brought together a number of distinguished scholars to work on an edited volume entitled The International Relations of the Gulf to be published in 2011 by Syracuse University Press.
As a result of the April 2008 conference Innovation in Islam, an edited volume of the chapters will be in 2011 by University of California Press.
As part of the ongoing Migrant Labor in the Gulf research initiative, CIRS awarded a number of Research Grants to scholars interested in the field.
Along with its Occasional Paper series, CIRS publishes online Briefs of its lectures and newsletters highlighting all its activities.
CIRS welcomes its 2009-2010 Post Doctoral Fellow Attiya Ahmad.
