MUN: Student Trip to Oxford International Model United Nations
Date: 2 February 2007
Time: All day
Location: Oxford University, United Kingdom
Nine SFS-Qatar students participated in the Oxford International Model United Nations in a trip sponsored by CIRS and the Student Affairs Department.
Students acted as delegates from Germany and Sierra Leone in a three day conference hosted by students of Oxford University. Students also spent a day in London and visited the Foreign Commonwealth Offices, the Parliament and the home of the Qatari Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
The OxIMUN experience has helped students prepare to act as committee chairs in the CIRS-hosted Model UN conference of January 2008.
Trip participants helped run the MUN Training Day on Saturday November 10, 2007, in order to share their knowledge with SFS-Qatar and high school students.
