What is MUN?
Model United Nations is a student-run simulation of the United Nations, where students assume the roles of foreign diplomats to learn about international politics and diplomacy. Participants are high school students. Participants are required to research the country they will represent at the conference along with specific topics related to the student's committee at the conference.
MUN 2009 at SFS-Qatar
The SFS-Qatar MUN aims to be a forum for engaged high school students to debate current global issues and gain insight into the world of international politics and policy-making.
You may apply here for the 2009 MUN Conference. The deadline for applications is October 3, 2009. Please go here for more information about the application procedure.
Please go here for updated information about the 2009 conference schedule, as well as information about the committees and topics. When student participants receive their committee assignments, they will be able to directly contact their assigned committee chair (a Georgetown University student) by e-mail.
Our MUN Honor Pledge exemplifies the attitude that delegates are expected to have at the conference.
